1.
i change the charset in source mode, but when i go to design mode it changes my charset back to us-ascii.
i can't change the charset.

2.
i work in design view.
i go to source and save
when i go back to design view i don't see anything (blank page)
i tried the properties and "do not change" and other options.
no go

3.
is the software stable or is in some kind of beta?
can i rely on it?

i use version 3.00
it seems as if it's not ready in light of the bugs i encounter (2 in this post and one in my previous post), and i only just begun to study the program ...

its been known to be buggy.....you can search this forum under bugs and find the other ones.

Ad 1. This is a Tidy error.
Try change Character Encoding Options in Tidy Power HTML Tools (Menu>Tools>Tidy HTML Format and Fix) if charset that You looking for don't appear You can choose raw in all fields. Then go to general preferences (Menu>General Prefferences>Design View) and check "Use my saved Tidy settings" and choose "lastused.tdy"

if this don't help, in worse case:
