I am in the process of making a new forum for the first time, the programming is not a problem and I have knowledge of how to use the software. I am wondering, who has the best hosting for that type of site?:jumpy:

check out wow, it looks pretty reasonable and I have read lots of great things about it. Have not tried for myself as of yet. But hope to very soon. Good luck!

Thank so much for that information. I took a look and they have a free trial so I'm going to try it out, I'll let you know how it goes.

Also, the only one I have ever tried for myself is ezboard, they are really easy! You can get a free trial with no popups and then you pay either by the month, 6 months or year. This is only to keep pop ups and ads off. The members can pay themself to upgrade to no ads for the entire ez communities no matter what forums they visit.
I dont think webmasters use this type of site, you can't change the basic layouts just the colors and stuff like that. You dont get lisense and stuff.

i use hostmonster and also 2 other ones. My personal choice will be host monster for the following
1. Money back any time
2. Good customer rep
3. Unlimited ( useless but i have about 9) in one account.

They also have phpbb, wordpress, and bunch of other software in the c panel, so anyone can down load it . I am happy so far.

Test Top Hosts Before Buying
huh?

To put a close on this...for the best hosting that works with most web hosts simiply know what you have. Find a host that supports SSI, php, mysql, cgi, etc and you will have almost any forum software supported. If you have a small plan you can do a hosted service one that is free, with some searching you can find a few. All forum software lists requirements, check these with host providers.
