You said you wanted more intros so here goes ;)
Okies, I'm an 18yr student from the lovely country of England. I live in the North, but I'm about to go to Uni in Bristol, which is in the South-West. There I will study Computing for Real Time systems which should be fun. If you don't know, real time systems are things like traffic lights, fly by wire systems and nuclear power plant computer programs.. basically anything that has to react with real-time events.
Anyways as far as website coding is concerned I'm self taught and never had a lesson on anything like HTML once (in fact the only time it's come up in any school syllabus was a college and I ended up teaching that class!). I was thrown in at the deep end 'cos I was doing a site with a mate, I would write the content he would code it. However, he got bored and said 'here you do it!' So I looked at the code, saw how things worked and took from there.
My first site appeared on www.electro-load.co.uk which now does not exist. It was a site with downloads and semi-interesting discussions which never really took off. Next came Gizmo's Place on the Web, which was hosted on err I forget but it was free. It then moved to a freenetname site (freenetname was an ISP that offered a free .co.uk website if you registered with them). This site has also been confided to the history of me, shame since the midi bg music rocked!
I now fill in content on the god like site at http://www.boinng.com and also manage my own site at http://www.fluffles.com. I'm engaged and I will hopefully be married soon.
