Hello all,

Since I 'PURCHASED' fp2006 when it was first released, I have yet to see the iScripts. I had no problem using them in fp2000, but they don't even show up in 2006. I click on iScripts in the tool bar, and the drop down opens........but the box is empty.....no scripts. The iScripts folder is in the fp2006 Pro Directory, but the iScripts don't load. I have re-install the program (fresh) a few time's, to no avail. Any suggestions? Tech support say's.........."Wait for the next program update". Just how long is that gonna be?

The only one who can answer that is Admin and he doesn't visit the forum that often. :(

Have you tried using the ones from FP2000?

Hello, and thanks for the reply. Yes, I have tried to use the iScripts from fp2000. I have copied some to the iScripts folder in fp2006 Pro, but I still have an empty drop down in the program. The iScripts work just fine in fp2000, which I still use as well. Admin........should visit this Forum more often.

I purchased it online "2CO.COM *EVRSOFT". for $59.95, how else do you purchase it! What does that have to do with the "bugs" anyway?

Purchasing has never been an issue, it was getting the key to unlock it I think and access to the template site afaik. As for the bug, have you tried uninstalling and redownloading it?

Term I stand corrected. I forgot it was the key that was impossible to get.

@Wacki

Can you elaborate what you mean by the menu being blank. I just downloaded the program and installed it and could not see what you are referring to. Are you referencing the instantz script button? If so there is no drop down for the scripts themselves, if I click on it I get a new window with lists of stuff, is this what you are referring to?

..........I have a fully functional (except for the iScripts Bug) un-locked edition of fp2006 Pro. I didn't need the web site template's, and therefore didn't spend the additional $$$$ for them, which I feel is too much $$ anyway. Yes, as I said in my 1st post on this issue, I did un-install, and did a clean re-install twice. I guess I'll have to wait for the next update, which I was told will address this issue, amongst other's.

I get the same drop down as you've shown, but there are no Scripts listed in the left side of the window as they are in your capture. They are in the iScripts folder in the program directory though, they just don't show themselve's in the dropdown when clicked on from the tool bar icon, or the menu tree.

Then I would say that your copy is corrupted somehow. I just downloaded and install minutes before taking that screenshot and the scripts were present. The only thing I can suggest is doing an complete uninstall and delete the evrsoft folder afterward. Reboot, then reinstall, I realize you have already done that once before but deleting the folder may be a necessity .

If that does not solve your issues then only admin can help you as he is the sole developer of the program, the rest of us here in the forum just volunteer to help out in the forum area.

I will probably, just for the sake of it, try to install the program AGAIN and see what happens, I was told that an update (bug fix's) was due out on the 1st of the year, so I'll just have to sit tight for a while I guess. We all know how long it took for 2006 to materialize *wink*

Thanks for all your help.........

hmm, wonder if it would be possible to see if you can see that folder in your program files directory, that might help in tracking a few things down

......Yes, as I said, the iScripts folder is in the program directory, and full of scripts!! But.......................when I click on the icon (scroll) in the tool bar, or on "scripting", then iScripts; I get a blank drop down. I have just emailed support again, and asked for them to check this out (again). I also removed all sign's of the program, and did another install.............now my Key won't work with the new download. I'll wait and see what the Developer's have to say.

Thanks,

Bill

sorry missed that you stated that....I will say I have not seen an update in almost one year's time and there are several bugs never addressed on the forums.

I hope much of which is fixed. All I can say at this point is try to contact them again on perhaps getting a new key. Perhaps something you have installed pervented the program from calling the iscripts in. Its hard to say at this point.

.......I guess I have a few people scratching their collective heads over this one! I hope a new install with a new key fix's the problem. I have yet to hear back from support, as to what they're gonna do for me. Thanks for your help.

Well hopefully you hear back in an appropriate amount of time, although I would not doubt it will take a while. I'll probably be proved wrong on that one.

Cannot duplicate the problem.

I downloaded 2006 about 2 weeks ago. Not registered yet.
Just started getting the nag screens. Did not expect that for 30 days.

I can see folder for Iscripts with many items listed.

Opened Iscripts from Main Menu. Saw the same list as shown above in image from Tamithius.
Executed samples, no problems.

WinXP-PRO SP2 User with Admin permissions. All files on local laptop .

I, too, have the problem of not being able to view Instantz Scripts. The dialogue box opens, but the pane which should list the scripts is blank. I uninstalled, cleaned the registry, and reinstalled, but to no avail. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Thanks.

In poking around trying to figure out how to fix or work around my problem with Intantz Scripts, I noted that several of them (maybe 200 or more) came from http://www.dynamicdrive.com/. So, while not nearly as convenient as, I assume, Instantz Scripts would be (if I could make it work), this is where I will be getting most, if not all, of my scripts.

I'm pretty sure I've been to www.dynamicdrive.com in a previous life, but I don't recall it being so well organized, having so many scripts, or providing a mountain of documentation and adequate demos for the scripts. Until iScripts starts working, this site is a pretty decent "work around."

How unprofessional of them to have such a simple bug ignored like that. At least the regi$tered user$ should get some help.

I had this same problem (I won't redownload and reinstall, as I've downloaded from the developer's page - it MUST work from there, and if the file was really corrupt, it won't or shouldn't even install in the first place), then I tried to move all the scripts to the 2000's scripts folder and it also didn't work.

But... there's a workaround, and it's quite simple: go to the scripts folders, go to any script folder and you'll see a bunch of files with the extension .izs, these are the actual scripts. Open any of them with Notepad or other text editor (right-click, open with, or open and choose the program), copy the text and paste in your favourite HTML editor, and follow the instructions in the scripts comments for configuration. This might work, although I haven't tried yet, but at least the text of the script is available this way and if you know what you're reading, you might be able to use them like that.

For those that registered and have this dumb bug: I'd ask for a refund. Like... NOW.

......as the original 'poster' of this problem, I must say that the only thing that corrected the iScripts problem for me was a system crash! I had to reinstall my OS, and all of my programs (including fp2006 Pro). To my amazment, the iScripts were now available to me in all their Glory!! I guess you can say, I fixed it myself!!........now lets get busy on the rest of the 'many' bugs.

I installed it in another computer, and it worked. I uninstalled in the first computer, tried a new download (from the 2nd link), followed the same procedures (no shortcuts, no starting the software right after installing etc.) and it didn't work again.

The 2 computers have XP in different languages (where it worked, it's English), and I don't know if it makes a difference. There might be a big problem also with auto-registering OCXs and DLLs, this is the only thing I can think of now, or this or the possibility of a version conflict as I still have the 2000 installed and I'm not planning to uninstall it just for testing purposes, even though I barely use 1stPage. Still, a stupid bug.

...........'stupid bug' isn't the word for it! The shame is, that Admin has not responded to it, to inform us as to what's being done. Now that we are now "PAYING" for fp, I feel these 'bugs' ought to be a priority. We shouldn't have to chase down some one to help us.

.......Well, they're GONE again! I am really beginning to wonder about this program, and this problem. Has anyone else heard from Admin regarding this "obvious Bug"? fp2000 didn't have as many problems as fp2006 Pro, and we PAID for it too. Any HELP on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

The last time admin was online from his profile was back in Dec I"m afraid. He leaves for months at a time. I would try to email him or call, or try to find other ways to contact him besides the forum. He has not responded to my email either.

............it figures. "take the money and run", I guess. Support told me that they were gonna fix 'some bugs' in a program update after the 1st of the year; well this is after the 1st of the year.....isn't it? It make's me sick........who do you see about a REFUND?

I had a similar problem when using 1stpage2006 with Windows Vista.
I could actually see the scripts but once I had used one in a particular category, that category dissapeared the next time I went. I tested this with a few more categories and they went north too.
After right clicking on the Evrsoft folder in program files and selecting my username and applying full permissions to that and all sub folder, wo and behold. All the scripts were back again and this time they stayed. Also, on the 1stpage2006 executable - I went to the compatability tab (in vista) and turned on administrator priveleges to the 1stpage2006 executable.

I am not sure if this will help you guys with your issues but it does seem as though 1stpage builds its category list from the folders in the IScripts folder.

Hope this helps. :jumpy:

AFAIK, evrsoft requires you to use admin rights to run all the program so what you had mookster as a corrected way should work for everyone else as well....thanks for posting that info

I don't understand what's up with access to Instantz Scripts either.
The copy on my desktop was registered and I couldn't get IS. I emailed support who sent me 3x new registration codes and advised reinstall each time, but this did not cure the problem.

On the other hand the unregistered copy on my laptop works fine.

So... after a lot of faffing about because the registration number wouldn't go away, I got back to an unregistered copy on the desktop, but that still would not recognise IS.

I finally re-loaded FP2000 which also works fine.

I purchased Silvintri Elven Plate Pants from another player - Im afraid I cannot remember their name. They have not appeared in my inventory, though there is sufficient space. Im not entirely sure if the money has left my account, but the Silvintri Elven Plate Pants are no longer available to buy, so I assume the transaction was partially completed.

Hope thats enough information.
