how do I use a template?

how do I use a template, they come with a css doc that opens up 1stpage and shows what looks like the code, but when I hit preview it still shows the code. Sorry if this is a common question here, if someone has lionk about about getting started on templates and 1stpage that would help too

What version of First page are you using?

CSS does not render a page persay in preview mode. Its a text style sheet that combines with HTML code to create the end result. Hope the helps. You should have an HTML page with a template. Might post the template so we have a better understanding.
