View Full Version : gif-is there a trick to sizing?
I was making mine own Home button by making my own
gif........One thing that went wrong white back ground around
the button.....but the other thing was then when I make the
image smaller it made my button way too small what are
the good sites to making ones own's gif?

Not sure what graphics program you used to initially create the image, but they all should have the ability to resize your image to most any size within reason. Just remember to maintain the aspect ratio (usually a checkkkk box on the resize screen). If you try to change too much, you will wreck the resolution.
A better solution is to know the size of the intended button and start your work with this size "canvas".

If your simply creating a button then you need little or no background. As stated previous, the best idea is to create the image the size you need, then design the button. Crop off as much of the background as you can, as it will simply take up page space throw out the layout. If there is any background then set it to transparent rather than white. That way any surrouding colour is defined by the page design rather than the image.
