I've not yet noticed a pattern to this bug, but occasionally I'll close a file (n.b. I would say probably the file has already been saved before I try to close it) and 1stPage will bring up the message below:

File "" has been modified. Save changes?

Notice that there's no filename mentioned between the quote marks. If you say yes to this message, 1stPage saves the file as a blank document.

Obviously the lack of filename at least gives you the opportunity to spot this is about to happen and opt for "no" (!), but sometimes on autopilot I've clicked "yes" and lost all my content...

Yes, this has been reported about 1st Page 2006 before. I don't think anyone else brought up the missing file name before though. There have been so many bugs reported with 1st Page 2006 that most of us have either gone back to 1st Page 2000 or moved on to other programs, an unfortunate occurance but understandable.

The fact that the evrsoft website is still there as well as this forum is proof enough to those that stay that the author is still working on it, even if he doesn't communicate with us as often as he used to. Those of us still here are hoping he eventually gets it working right so we can then buy it but I'm not holding my breath until then.

Sorry if this wasn't what you wanted to hear but I prefer honesty to any other course of action. Good luck with your site.
