I need a simple logo... Artistic I am not. Would someone like to contribute a clean, simple logo for "CSD"; just these three characters. I am a firm believer in credit where credit is due for your work. I am looking for a website logo of about 100x100 pixels.

Thanks

Bit of an ambiguous request. So we're going to need a bit more information.

For one thing, what kind of font and colors do you want (Ie: serifed font, gradient silver)? Is the website background going to be white or some other color?

Sit will be based on light blue colors. I am a san-serif kind of guy. I typically used Verdana for most text. If you are asking what type of font in the logo (showi8ng my ignorance), I have to say I dont know.... Lousy answer?

Here is a glass button type logo.

You really need to set better parameters. Do you have any colour samples - post the hex codes that you will be using. Light blue covers thousands of shades!

Colors in use (so far) on the site are:

00.00.DE
00.71.BD
3A.63.A5
AE.B5.FF

The simple logo might be almost circular in total shape, with the left perimeter of the circle being the "C" and the right perimeter of the circle being the "D" with the "S" filling in the top and bottom. Hope I have been able to convey my idea....

Let me say to all who "monitor" this site... You are all great people, assuming there are a fair mixture of guys and gals as it is sometimes difficult to tell from the screen names. I don't believe I have ever received any bad advice and I appreciate the varied and sometimes contrasting opinions. One has to have some intelligence to sort out the various opinions and make the final decision. I don't think I have found a more professional forum. {stepping down from soap box} Perhaps one day we will touch upon my area of expertise and I may be able to make a contribution.

If you have it published on the web can you give a link so that we can produce a logo that matches?

I am just beginning work on the site and do not have it published as yet. Just trying to get all the pieces together...

What's the bgcolor of the site?

Ehm, 100x100px, do you know how small that is?

Have you tried Xara 3D online,
http://www.club.xara.com/referrer/headmaker_trial.asp
It'll give you the chance to play and use simple logos. As you know what you want you can specify your requirements and at least have something interesting to work with. It'll take you a matter of seconds.

Another option, and it's free, is GIMP, and excellent graphics package, to do all you might want. It will take some time to get used to though......

Yup... Know the size of 100 pix. I just wanted a small logo, not an overwhelming image dominating the page. :-}.

Thanks for the links, I will have a go myself.

Try this. It was quick and dirty but I think it fills the bill for your idea. By the way, I only used 3 of the 4 colors. Take it if you like it.

just wondering how come you do not specify the context in which your logo might be used. does it not matter? (what its is aimed to convey, something soft, hard, technical or not, etc. )

this is strange to me, but it has to do with what you image you want to project to a viewer.
It might not be important to your project, you just want an identification, but still it puzzles me.

Thanks for all the good suggestions. The site is my personal business site for a consulting firm that does project management, Interactive Voice Response, and develops web pages. I would not want you to lose any sleep over the intent of the site.:)

1. D3 Digitalism Round

3. Magneto

I think Magneto came with a program and Neuropol came off

Oh, and thanks DC :smack:

As for resizable flash titles, I've been pondering that for the last couple days... I've never done any but plan to look into it :)

May I ask what CSD stands for? And what the primary focus of the business is?
