Hello,
Total newbie would like to make a web page gift on a cdrom. Would be really great to have it autorun / install on insert too.
Is this possible, and any suggestions on how to do?
Thanks!

Create a file on the CDROM called "autorun.inf" Put the following text in the file:[autorun]
open = html_filename_here.html
insert = html_filename_here.htmlThe page *should* open in the default browser if the person has autorun CDs set to on. Alternatively, they may get a prompt as to what action to take.

By the way - kinda a neat idea. Have you though of using those little credit card sized cds? They would go in and envelope.

I don't know if people here read UK's PCPlus magazine, but the cds that it contains are html powered...

Thank you for the info. Will give it a try. Couple of questions -
How should I name the link files?
Also - really like the small cd idea. Where can I get them?
Thanks again for your response and help!
Bob

You should have your image files in a subdirectory of the "main" html directory and then do relative paths. <image src="images/myimage.gif" height="" width="" alt="myimage" />

Depending on where you live the minicard cds would be in a large stationary store.
