View Full Version : Preview vs Multiple Browsers ??

IE is my default browser and it is invoked nicely when I use the Preview button in 1stPage. I have Mozilla (=Netscape 6) as my second browser.

I have set Ctrl-I to start IE and Ctrl-M to start Mozilla. With preview active in IE, typing Ctrl-M causes the Mozilla logo to flash in the middle of the Preview screen for a second or so but the Preview browser remains IE. Selecting Mozilla while in Edit mode and then going to Preview also always invokes IE.

I have tried selecting Mozilla via the File/Preview in browser/Mozilla route and this doesn't cause the Preview browser to become Mozilla either.

I know that the pages I am working on have extraneous lines in tables when rendered by Mozilla and would like to be able to troubleshoot this by using Mozilla via the Preview button. Any ideas on how to accomplish this would be appreciated.

What are you meaning by "preview" here. The preview pane or external?

Sorry I wasn't clear on that. What I meant was the Prieview button just above the screen which is equivalent to F12.

In the: File/Preview in browser/Mozilla I meant the selections starting from the File button at upper left.

The preview pane is IE based - probably 5.5 equivalent, with all its warts.

The preview in external browser (from file|preview in browser| . . . or from the toolbar) will open the file in IE but there seems to be a problem invoking Gecko-based browsers. I have to view in Netscape manually.
