I can't think of any kind of layout I want to make for my site. I make one, and when I finish it get bored with it and make another one.

I just can't make a decision...

I'm about to try somthing black and gold. Not to mention different than my other templates.

Lets just hope I can get this one right.

I know what you mean. Sometimes it's just so hard to settle on 1 layout. Especially if it's for yourself. You keep asking yourself "would it look better if......".

Yeah, and then you screw with it and it goes to hell. I already ditched the black and gold thing.

If you have Photoshop, open it up and make a new image with a what background, 782x500 pixels.

In the first color spot, pick a nice shade of your favorate color, like a nice steel blue. In the second spot choose a lighter versionof the first.

Put a quare at the top, play around with some gradients and that usually get's me in the "mood." By the time I'm finished I have a nice design and all I have to do is crop it up and stick in the HTML.

After you have your template, don't touch it. If you start wondering if it could look better then you'll start over and over and over. You should stick in some content and ask other people for comments. You take those comments and act on them directly still not totally redesigning. After you satisfy the comments then you have what you need and all you have to do is think up some content.

Goto Gimp's Website (http://www.gimp.org) you can get the windows version and it's free. If you figure it out you can do alot with it.
