EvrSoft: Remove the 6 buttons script!!

I have read MANY posts, educated or not, about the js.trojan.windowsBomb, and it is incredible to me that EvrSoft would so hurt its reputation by including this sample script. I have seen several posts, "Don't download FirstPage! It contains a virus!" (usually in ALL CAPS). EvrSoft just needs to get rid of it in all further distributions. I am guessing that this is why CNET no longer carries the download.

What a waste, to cause so much controversy over an otherwise fine program.

Okay, so my NAV identified the 6 buttons script as a virus during the installation, so I deleted everything, including 1stPage from my cumputer. I'm confused, was it actually a virus?

Grrr, David or Boris...I think you should make a set of sticky threads and name them according to the common issues (ie: SIX BUTTON FAQ, 1ST PAGE 3 FAQ! )

A lot of people seem to be too lazy to look for other topics to see if its already been discussed unless they have it sticking in their face. That reminds me, you should also insert a script that js.windowbombs a bunch of messages that say "READ THE FAQS!"

FYI, I did read the hundreds of posts on this subject! They talked about a windowbomb eating memory and screwing up IE, etc.... but they kept saying it wasn't a virus, however it sounds harmful and I still don't understand what it is, obviously I'm not familiar with those things, and I was clearly only seeking information for people who were. Soooo, your rude and unhelpful comment wasn't really necessary, you could have just passed right by my post if you didn't have anything useful info. :mad:

It's just some stupid infine javascript loops and such and will not harm your computer. You can simply delete it.

Viruses replicate and do damage to your data, this one simply crashes your browser. Think of it as a gust of wind compared to a tornado (virus). Annoying, but not really devastating.

Delete six buttons.izs and you will be okay.

Note that I regard this message the same way I regard the spam in my inbox, its there, has a flashing icon and its crap.
