Frames (any info about them?)

Hey there peoples,

I'm trying to use flash in 1st pg 2000 and was told that to use the two in conjunction, I should look into frames in HTML. I'm pretty new to HTML, and when I look in help in 1st pg 2000 I can't find anything about frames. Does anyone have any info or links or anything about this?

Hey thanks for replying.
I will try to explain what I am aiming for more in-depth.

here goes :^)

I made a navigation bar with Flash that has links on it (bio, pictures, etc.). I scripted the links so that they would load the correspoding pages with HTML, which I planned to make in 1st pg 2000. I put the navigation bar into 1st pg 2000.

I want to make it where, when you click on a buton on the navigation bar that was made with Flash, that the HTML page loads onto the page that has the navigation bar. I want all the HTML pages to load onto the 1 main template navigation bar page without replacing the nav bar.

I asked for help with this, and they told me that I should look into frames with my HTML editor.
So here I am :^)

I hope that made sense... sometimes I don't get across very well what I mean...

Wouldn't it re-load the header every time if I put it on every Page?

Admittedly, frames might look a little slicker in this case, but David is right, the flash file would be cached so the download of it would be a one-time-only deal.

Well my only problem is that when the flash nav first loads, it animates in and I'd rather not have it animate every page it loads in... but I guess I could take the anim off unless there's another way...

Unless I'm slow, I just got a rev here...

If I put the Flash header on every page, then I could just make another header that does not animate in, and put the one that does animate only on the Home page...:eek:

I need to ask the ultimate newbie question here: where do I put the code to have a picture show under my name like you??
