View Full Version : Getting my website onto Geocities?

I'm using Evrsoft First Page 2006, and I used a pre-made template to edit. It looks really great when I click "Preview" but when I tried to upload them onto the site, it came out really ugly like it does when I click "Design" in FP. I'm not an expert at this, so is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm also confused when I make a document and it makes copies. Example, original document name is "AboutTony" then FP will make copies like "~1st~1st~1stAboutTony" etc etc. I try to upload the copies on Geo, and there's an error.

Oh, I've noticed that the "div id" parts do not work....

Hmm, first, the template...not sure what template you have but geocities is not the best to have a website on and depending on what is uploaded and what you edited its hard to say why it does not look good....second teh extra copies is temp copies saved and I'm not sure why its doing this as there are bugs in FP and not sure if its one of them or not. Third the div ids do not work,...can you be more specific? Did you have the CSS id for the div...screenshot or link would help
