On Windows Vista D/Led 1st Page 2006 and installed. D/L and Install appeared to work perfectly. No errors. Launching FP2006 immediately gives an error dialog box "Evrsoft First Page HTML Editor has stopped working" "A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The only other thing in the box is a single "Close Program" button.
I uninstalled the program, D/Led it from the 2nd D/L website, installed and ran -- same problem.
It never even gets as far as a Splash screen. The error dialog box comes up almost immediately.

Not sure if vista is supported or not, as the program was last updated two years ago...but make sure you are using admin mode and see if that helps

I right-clicked and "ran as administrator" but still got the same result.

I uninstalled FP2006 and re-downloaded. I reran the install with "run as administrator," and then ran FP2006 with "run as administrator." Same result - error dialog before even getting a splash screen.
I then gave up on FP2006 and figured I'll D/L and install FP2000. It's no longer available on the web site. The FP2000 download link takes you to the FP2006 D/L only. Real nice. Thanks Evrsoft!

you can still find the older version here and there by googling for it....sorry you could not get the error to work out.

Hello,
I also encountered the problem of having this error message when trying to load FP2006.
Here is the way I was able to bypass the problem:
In Windows VISTA Explorer I right-clicked the HTML-file I wanted to edit and indicated that I wanted the html-file always to be opened with FP2600. This works with me.
I hope this could be of any help to anyone.
