1. Syntax highlighting rules are editable.
2. No, as all languages parsers are currently supported.

I like what I see so far, and won't be making any snide comments. The Q mode looks like it may be an interesting hybrid with WYSIWYG editors for beginners and Rapid Development sketches.

We would all love to have a December Christmas present!

<hint>And, as I have said to Admin previously, there are still some die hard fans here for Beta testing. </hint>

That's correct!

great!

I have some questions here:
Does this editor work on separate css documents, or does it work on style tags in a html document? What about style attributes in HTML, can this editor work on them?

How does this work?

Question

Looks nice

Two questions, though - one of which I think I've asked before.

Firstly, is it going to be possible to lock the toolbars in the Advanced/Expert mode so you don't keep dragging them off and having to re-dock them, not to mention moving them back to the correct place?

Secondly, is there going to be any change in the pricing of the new version?

Nice....lots of GUI improvments!

But, not to down-talk FP or anything; but now that I've gotten more into web standards...I'm looking at these features as being more geared towards the average 'script kiddie' (IMO)

Of course, you can't judge a book by it's cover, so ill have to def. give it a shot ;-).

Otherwise, nice job and stick with us Napolean!

Please, don't include "Six buttons from hell" in the new version. Just today we got another user asking what he should do about this "virus".

Smile Christmas is here

Well, back again for a short visit to see how it's all going on. It's that time of year so I thought I'd use this opportunity to send all of you guys Christmas Greetings, have a good one, Nap and all. I see nothing has changed much over the last couple of months but maybe the new year will bring new things. Strange thing is, even though I take the preverbial now and again, I still have an affection for 1st Page and still use it in preference to most other editors for hard code. Take care folks and do have a great Christmas. See you next year. Phil.

This looks awesome.

Great job guys. Don't sweat those whiners. You can't please everybody and they're all welcome to go pay big bucks with some other program. Personnally, I love FREE and when it's free you've got no right to complain.

The tag insight works similar to the one implemented in Borland Delphi and Homesite. The only additional feature is that it would incorporate descriptions on all tags, attributes and variables.

For example if you were show the descriptions on <IMG>

Most editors would show:
SRC
BORDER
WIDTH

With our Insight it would show:
SRC = Location of image file
BORDER = Length of border around image
WIDTH = Width of image in pixels or %
..etc..etc..

At this point in time it supports HTML & XHTML with some PHP tags. We hope to have further support for CSS soon. I hope this is what you wanted to know as your question needs more clarity if this was not the answer you were looking for.

While we have not added the Lock Toolbar feature, I think it's a nice idea which would not take long to implement. I'll toss this feature into the Todo List.

Thanks!

At this point in time we have no plans as to whether or not make it shareware or freeware. The most favorable idea at the moment is to have a freeware editor with an option to upgrade to a professional version which offers some extra's, such as more scripts, more features, etc.

Hmm... it seems like this would reduce the memory footprint until Preview is used, but it would take a while to load and reload the engine every time Preview mode is used. It may be set up differently than I think it is, but the way you described it doesn't sound as efficient as just loading it when the program is started.
>> The Preview engine (IE) is dynamically created only once during the entire application run when the user uses Preview mode for the first time. The reason why we made it execute dynamically on runtime is to save the countless few seconds of load time for those who never use the Preview mode.

Other than those things, the list looks pretty good and the screenshots look good too. I'll give 1st Page 3 (what's it called now?) a try when you release it.
>>Thank you for your support David!

This script has been removed from the next release. This small and harmless script has caused so many false alerts
