Maybe You Need A Belt And Suspenders!

By John Colanzi

The internet is heating up over the spam issue. My first reaction was to get mad, but that's counter productive.

There's only one way to keep your business on track until the dust settles. You need to have contingency plans in motion.

You can sit here until the "Cow Jumps Over The Moon," crying about your rights, but if you leave your business at risk, You take the loss.

Internet Marketing is here to stay, but there may be times when the ride gets a little bumpy. If you're not ready, you could be the next dot.com casualty.

So how am I preparing myself?

Luckily, before I started online, my hobby was mail order. The internet was much faster and cheaper so I cut back on my mailing and pumped up my online efforts.

Now after three bogus spam warnings, I've changed my mix from 90 % internet to 70 % internet and 30 % mail order.

Here's my simple plan for keeping my business growth on target.

1. Some of my articles are already scheduled to run in one of the oldest off-line mail order tabloids, starting with their next issue.

2. I'm looking for more mail order tabloids that run articles, for future submission.

3. I'm pumping up my daily direct mailings. As sales build I'll start using profits to increase the number of mailings per day.

4. I'm advertising in more co-publishable publications.

Why co-publishable, I can accept ads from other marketers to offset my marketing costs.

Use co-publishable publications properly and you'll have a wide circulation of your ads with zero expense.

I'm prepared for whatever happens. Are you?

I hope so!

Wishing You Success
