How to Effectively Use Free Traffic Exchanges

By Dean F. Mapa
Posted Tuesday, September 21, 2004

There are two kinds of traffice exchanges. One runs automatically when you trigger your assigned URL. This type of traffic exchange shows the Web sites of members and changes automatically. You earn credits depending on the ratio of the respective traffic exchange. The problem with this traffic exchange is that no one actually takes a look at your site.

The other traffic exchange requires members to click on a link to visit other members' Web sites. Because this requires a manual action, you get to view other Web sites, if only briefly, and others get to see your site.

This is the type of traffic exchange we will be using.

Before continuing, you would need to download and use a free browser that allows you to open several windows at the same time. It's called Crazy Browser and you can download it by clicking here. After downloading the product, return to this page.

The next step is to build a lead page that will attract surfers to subscribe to your mailing list. In a fast-moving system like traffic exchanges, you cannot hope to make a sale from your Web site but it is possible to capture leads. So you must have a compelling headline that surfers will take notice of at the twink of an eye, and an equally compelling offer that is irresistible to refuse, but which can only be had by leaving an e-mail address.

Take a look at my leads generating page:

When you have built your leads generating page, use this now as your target URL in the traffic exchanges. When you begin to receive subscribers, teach them about traffic exchanges and encourage them to sign up under you. The more you're able to build a downline, the more traffic credits you'll get.
